“There were only three today, all before noon.”
“Hina guesses you had no trouble then?”
“No, all easy. It was like being back in Logue Town again, that was how inept these pirates were. I thought the Grand Line was supposed to be dangerous and kill off these kinds of low-level scum before they could get this far.”
“Some people have more luck than others. Theirs just ran out today.”
“Mmm. How was your day, ma’am? The Captain hasn’t heard from Headquarters lately. And I got through pretty easily. Are they still harassing you?”
“Hina got them to stop tying up her communications equipment with pointless yelling and paperwork.”
“How?!”
“That’s Hina’s secret. Hina knows things. Also Hina has a hidden weapon.”
“…You mean them, don’t you? I knew you kept them around for more than just amusement.”
“Hina isn’t going to say.”
“So, um, what else did you do today?”
“Hina captured several wanted criminals, negotiated a treaty between two port towns, and reinforced a sea wall.”
“Sounds like you were really busy ma’am. I didn’t really do much of anything in comparison.”
”Did you do that one exercise? That one sword one?”
“Um, Hina ma’am, I always do sword work every day.”
“Hina’s talking about the one where you do that stretch and then extend and…”
“Oh, that one? Of course, that’s part of my daily routine.”
“Why don’t you tell Hina all about it? And the rest of it, too.”
“Well sure, if you really want to…oh. Oh! Um ma’am, didn’t we do this just last week?”
“Hina had a busy day and needs to unwind. And Tashigi is a good lieutenant who always listens to her superiors, right?”
“…Yes ma’am. So I got up at five and started by performing a series of limbering exercises…”
