Note: Erm, yeah, apologies as my mind was in the gutter for this topic.
“Mmmnnnn.”
He couldn’t help it, the noise slipped out, and the hand that had only lightly been covering his mouth clamped down, sealing it shut, forcing him to breathe through his nose. He would’ve thrashed, torn his way free from the suffocating hand at his mouth and the one that was occupied…elsewhere, but it was too risky. Discovery, pursuit, both were normal activities for pirates who ventured into marine-held territory.
They’d been spotted leaving the bar, peacefully and after paying a large tab, not that that meant anything to the marines. Luck was with them. The city was huge, full of twisting paths. It was simple, duck down one dark, narrow street, turn again, and finally melt into the shadows and wait for the marines to give up. All they had to do was stay hidden and silent.
But for some unfathomable reason, Ben had decided to make things interesting. He’d been tugged up against the man, arm trapped behind him before he had time to react. And then Ben had slipped a hand down the front of his pants, the other resting gently across his lips. The bastard had been unusually friendly all day, actually sitting at the bar with him instead of retreating to a booth with booze and a book. Now he knew why.
He thought the appearance of marines, only fifty yards away, would have made him stop. Instead it only seemed to spur his movements. Cursing him inwardly, he couldn’t stop himself, biting down on the fingers that found their way past his lips. As eyes swept over their hiding spot, he shuddered, Ben chuckling softly in his ear. But for all the tension, the marines missed them.
“Close, wasn’t it?”
And then, unrepentant, Ben led him, cursing and occasionally punching, back towards their hotel.
