Hina was not the sort of woman who was used to tasting the bitterness of defeat. It was an unpleasant taste, dry and crumbling like ashes from a cigarette left to burn down unnoticed. Hina did not like it. She was used to competence – at least from all of her crew but two – and did not provide for any allowances or excuses for herself. And yet Strawhat Luffy had escaped her iron grasp not once but two times. A slippery foe indeed but one she should have been capable of capturing. To have lost to him twice…it wouldn’t happen again.
