Ugh, so brain-dead today. I continue to fail horribly at titles.
Title: Be The One
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Hina/Tashigi
Word Count: 278
The air was acrid, full of gunpowder and smoke, and Hina sucked on her unlit cigarillo and watched the grey-haired captain bellow like an enraged bull at her two equally angry subordinates. Really, it wasn’t right of Smoker-kun to pin all of the blame for the Straw Hats’ escape on Jango and Fullbody. How were they to know the effect hypnosis would have on Monkey D. Luffy? But they were big boys, capable of handling themselves as long as she wasn’t around to trip them up, and she had more pressing matters to see to anyway.
Muffled sounds of water carried out from behind the door and she let herself in without bothering to knock. Shigure, sheathed and smelling strongly of polish, lay atop her comforter. There were bloodstains, a small pool at the foot of her bed and drops leading into the bathroom, and Hina took off her gloves with a sharp cluck of tongue. Stubborn girl.
Teeth closed around the back of Tashigi’s neck and black iron pressed her wrists too-tightly to the slick wet tiles of the shower wall. The lieutenant started, getting a mouth full of water when she opened it to protest. She arched back, met the soft, curvy steel of Hina’s body, and bowed her head instead. Red eddied, swirled down the drain as narrowed violet eyes watched over the tanned round of Tashigi’s shoulder. The captain sighed, heated warmth gusting over neck and cheek, and wrapped her arms about the girl’s slender form. Then, after a stolen, rarely allowed moment of comfort, Hina slid her hands lower and went about reminding them both of just who Tashigi’s life really belonged to.
Metallica's 2x4 - It's my Hina song actually. Don't have a Hina/Tashigi one at the moment.
Yeah
I'm gonna make you shake you take you
I'm gonna be the one who breaks you
Put the screws into ya my way
Yeah c'mon c'mon come and make my day
Make my day
Yeah
Got some hell to pay you steal your thunder
The joy of violent movement pulls you under
Ooh bite the bullet well hard
Yea but I bite harder so go too far
Too far
Friction fusion retribution
I can't hear ya... talk to me
I can't hear ya... so talk to me
I can't hear ya are you talking to me
I can't hear ya are you talking to me
I can't hear ya trying to be my lord
I can't hear ya talking 2 by 4
Yeah
I'm gonna make you, shake you, take you
I'm gonna be that one who breaks you
Put the screws into ya, my way
Hey c'mon, c'mon, come and make my day
Make my day
Friction, fusion, retribution
I can't hear ya... talk to me
I can't hear ya... talk to me
I can't hear ya are you talking to me
I can't hear ya while you're talking to me
I can't hear ya trying to be my lord
I can't hear ya talking 2 by 4

Title: Read The News Today
Rating: PG
Pairing: Smoker/Ace
Word Count: 256
The newspaper rustled as Smoker turned the pages, morning cup of caffeine working its magic as he read. And then he saw them, two articles. Neither important enough to warrant more than a paragraph or two and buried back on the fifth page, but he saw the brief headers and carefully put down his mug.
Pirates, allegedly, dead and found floating on the charred remains of their boat, read the first one. The brat’s work, he knew without a doubt. Not enough information to know whether it was the man, the men, he’d been searching for but something told him it probably was. The other article was more speculative, hinted at a meeting between White Beard and the Red Hair. There wasn’t any proof, no witnesses or evidence, so it got hidden away from less discerning readers, downplayed what could have set off a panic. And again his instincts told him it was true.
Black Beard dead and his captain meeting with the Akagami leader. He’d be heading back then. Back to his normal life, where he listened to someone’s orders beside his own. An outlaw, a scoundrel, a pirate. The marine kept the roiling smoke inside him tamped, folded the newspaper with nothing more than his usual scowl, didn’t grimace at the suddenly bitter taste of his coffee. And if he had any regrets for not throwing the boy into the brig when he had the chance, none of it showed on his face as he made his ship ready for another day of pursuit.
Masterplan's After This War
I felt your love slip away
You know you shouldn't want to stay
Tell me why you disappeared
And why you've come back here
It hurts to have you near
The roaring silence fills the air
I gotta get myself out of here
Spilling coffee on my shoe, I shiver cause of you
My heart turns black and blue
How can I be with you after this war
My feelings are sour... baby
Why did you come back to hurt me some more
This is after the war
Now in this war I can't pretend
And our souls can never mend
This has to be the end
I've got to leave it all behind
On my way to another life - My new life
I have to go... oh baby
How can I be with you after this war
My feelings are sour... baby
Why did you come back to hurt me some more
This is after the war
Why did you come back
Please let me know, I don't understand
Why did you hurt me again
This is after the war... and I can't let you go
