Spam Round Two: Part Deux

All Skypiea this time around.

7. The Way of the Warrior
The sky wasn’t anything like Zoro had imagined it. Heaven wasn’t something he believed in anyway but Skypiea didn’t match any description he’d ever heard of. Sure there were winged people and miles of fluffy white clouds, but no one ever said anything about old ladies demanding entrance fees or giant monsters dwelling inside the milky soup that served as water. He followed along slowly behind the rest of the crew, pants rolled up about his ankles, and secretly wished he was as carefree as the rest of them when Luffy led the gang in a bout of cloud bouncing.

8. Riders of the Storm
The giant crab? Lobster? He’s never been sure about what the difference is since both are yummy, speeds off across the frothy waves and he stands on shore and watches it dwindle. His arm trembles, stretched out so far and still falling short, and he silently curses his inability to swim. The Merry’s gone and with it are half of his nakama. He doesn’t worry, Zoro’s with the ladies and Chopper and can keep them safe, but he’s a little jealous of their adventure. He tears off in search of Usopp and Sanji; he won’t be left behind for long.

9. Hammer of Justice
They meet up after series of strange adventures. Sky sharks, vine swinging, round beings of indeterminable gender, all of it experienced in the span of half a day. The sky knight lies broken and battered on the deck of their equally injured craft and Luffy gazes down at the old man and remembers the crackle of blinding lightning that had split the sky and the clouds and nearly stolen their kind guide’s life. Zoro watches the faint lines around his eyes deepen and, even though he jokes freely about gold with Nami, knows they’ve got another distressed kingdom to save.

10. Dreamland
Fire blazed, threw defiant embers up at a cloudy sky. The wolves howled in harmony to the heavy beat of drums and Zoro stared as his nakama whirled like demons or forest spirits around the flames. Luffy, sweaty and laughing, tried to pull him in and he shook his head with a smile, content with his ale and tree trunk and getting to drink his fill with all his senses. Later, once snores and coals occupied the clearing, he let the captain tug him away. He noticed, panting and flat on his back, that the stars had finally come out.

11. Unchained
Trapped in a cage, a net, a web of iron thorns, Zoro bared his teeth in a feral grin. This was what he lived for, the joy of the fight and testing his strength against worthy opponents. Chopper’s body, fur bloody and singed, lay behind him and he felt the cool intensity of rage settle over him as he drew all three blades. If this was a fight to the death, a fight for life, a fight to prove he could win, he would be the last man standing. He was Luffy’s chosen swordsman and Straw Hat pirates didn’t lose.

12. Destined for Glory
His arm was heavy again, weighed down now by an immense ball of gold. It trailed after him like a tail or a pennet dangling off of a knight’s spear. Holding tightly to Nami’s waist, he urged her and the Waver faster, ignoring the improbability of racing nearly straight up an enormous beanstalk. Ener waited somewhere at the top and the treasure did as well. He would take down the false god, hit him with everything he had, and then he’d toll the bell. Everyone, Shandian and Skypiean, Cricket and the monkeys, Zoro and his other nakama, would hear it.

Mmmm, the concept in "Way of the Warrior" was awesome. Zoro being watchful while everyone else played, it's touching and good characterization.

XDDD And then Luffy being totally ok with his Nakama being seperated because Zoro's with them and instead is just jealous of their adventure.

"Zoro watches the faint lines around his eyes deepen and, even though he jokes freely about gold with Nami, knows they’ve got another distressed kingdom to save."

And they are so totally Destined for Glory. Good moment...

The pride of being Luffy's first mate and the greatest swordsman in Unchained. Ah, Zoro is so much love~~~

Oh yes No. 12. ^__^ Luffy never fails to make me want to scream and cry and yell, "YOU GO TAKE THAT FUCKER'S ASS OUT, STRAWHAT! GO!!" and windmill around and wave pom-poms madly in the air. Arghargh. And 11.'s Zoro was awesome, too, arghargh I want to watch the anime for that bit where he went all nakama-protective over Chopper. ;__; b
