Edit: After finding a rough scan and trans of 388, I feel a bit better.
Okay, first of all I need to go back and review all of CP9's crazy-ass martial skills because Luffy is clearly using one of them (Soru?) when he owns Blueno's ass. Also, NOT AT ALL surprised that Blueno got smacked down like he did. Oda's emphasis on CP9's power rating is obvious when you think that he's likely going to contrast that with the Straw Hats' skills. Blueno, at not even 1000, would have to get seriously beat down in order for Luffy and company to stand a chance of kicking Lucci and Kaku's asses. Having read over some of the thoughts on the AP forums, I'm not sure what theory sounds best for Luffy's Gear 2. Vulcanization and the compression molding both sound the most logical. Also, we know Luffy's a fast learner and picks up skills on the fly. Think about his windmill inspiration in Arlong park and the various moves he uses against Ener and Crocodile. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to believe that he can have so quickly figured out how to use CP9's moves against them and make them even better thanks to his Devil's fruit power.
Secondly, it would indeed be awesome if some of the other Straw Hats also learned some of those skills, esp. Sanji. However, I think the forum posters are forgetting that Sanji has never truly seen the CP9 martial arts (it has a name but I'm too lazy to go look it up) in action. If he could figure it out on the fly in the massive battle royale that is clearly going to come, that would OWN. Also, I still want far more badass-ness from Zoro. Honestly he hasn't done much of anything since Mr. 1 back in Alabasta. He owned Om's ass rather fast in Skypeia and it wasn't really that interesting except for the whole chi/ranged attack skill he gets. That reminds me...I really need to study the attacks of the Straw Hats again as well. I feel like I'm missing something.
Anyway, last page is AWESOME. That cry for Robin totally reminds me of Arlong Park. It's giving me shivers. Also kind of reminds me of him running around like a nutjob in Alabasta hollering for Crocodile's blood. He's got that kind of rage/energy again. That means GOOD fight coming up. (Skypeia/Ener lacked that rage completely which might be why that arc isn't as interesting to me from a fight stand point) And Kokoro's babble about changing the world REALLY confirms some of my conspiracy theory thoughts again. I wonder if Luffy is a pawn and whose pawn and to what extent? Obviously he's stubborn and goes his own way, but a part of me wonders if Shanks/Mihawk/Whitebeard don't know far more about the men of D than we've already learned. Shanks has clearly waited for Luffy to progress to a certain extent before he started moving. The same could be said of Whitebeard. And I still say that Mihawk is Shanks' spy in the world government. Or at least they're willing to share information.
Overall, I'm SERIOUSLY looking forward to the smackdown. I want OWN-AGE. I want blood and flying teeth and drama and destruction and to know what's behind the gates.
Oh, and Oda-chi, I love you. You won't let me down. I know you admire Toriyama and think he's god. But so far One Piece has been miles above Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Please don't let Gear 2 become like the Saiyan levels. That would suck. I'm sure your explanation will be wonderful and this new power will not be exploited or drawn out. I trust you to rock and be amazing and inventive like you always are.
Hmm, now I feel much better. Still annoyed but not nearly as much as before. Ah One Piece. You always brighten my day.
