Vulcanized rubber over a thick layer of steel lashed out with extreme prejudice and accuracy, aiming for moss and tanned cheekbones. A flash of silver flickered out, rotated by firm wrists so that the blunted edge met black sole, impressed itself from the force of the meeting. Forest green met ocean blue and the sparks between that gaze were even more powerful than the ones that would have been summoned had the sword not twisted at the last second to keep the blade from gouging rubber. Deadly tools, both of them, and with the strength of well-trained muscles and hormonal irritation behind them. As Sanji and Zoro snarled and bickered, pushed against each other in a no-sum game, Wadou Ichimonji met deceptively vicious loafers for the first time and grudgingly offered respect.
